Meet Your Instructors!

Autumn Laemmrich

Me Holding UMTC.jpg

Hi, I’m Autumn, owner and instructor at Mountain Sound Piano Studio.  I’ve been at the piano for 30 years now and teaching piano for 19 years!

I hold my bachelors of music degree in piano performance from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  I am also a certified teacher of Ultimate Music Theory.  I'm currently Vice President of AKTA (Anchorage Keyboard Teachers Association) and an active member of NFMC (National Federation of Music Clubs).

I love getting to know each student, figuring out how they learn best, and building lessons that keep them challenged but excited to come back each week.

My background is rooted in classical training, but I’m a big believer in mixing things up with modern teaching approaches, in-studio challenges and incentives, and music rep that students actually love to play.  More than anything, I want my studio to feel welcoming, encouraging, and low-pressure, a place where it’s okay to mess up, try again, and gain confidence.

When I'm not teaching, I'm usually wrangling my wild and amazing son, Fen.  I also enjoy camping, summer, sushi and definitely a fan of Harry Potter!

Jaiden Brewster

Hello!  My name is Jaiden Brewster.  I’ve been passionate about music from a young age and have spent years developing my skills and sharing that love with others.  I’m excited to share my knowledge and help you or your child grow in their musical journey!

I have dedicated the past 13 years to studying and mastering classical music through formal lessons.  My training has involved a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses various techniques and styles within the classical tradition.  Currently, I'm studying advanced theory with Berklee Online and looking forward to starting the process of getting my MTNA Professional Certification in the coming years.  I also work closely with Autumn who is not only helping me refine my skills and expand my musical repertoire but is also guiding me in the principles of pedagogy.

One fun fact about me is that when I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me crocheting, working on short stories, or playing with my dogs (Kenai and Deliliah)!

Esther Haag

Hi!  My name is Esther Haag and I have been playing the piano for 15 years. I grew up in Berthoud, Colorado on a small family farm with the parents and six siblings.

I started taking piano lessons when I was eight, and soon after decided to pursue a piano career. Upon graduating high school I moved to Missouri for college.  I received my bachelors degree from College of the Ozarks in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.  I started teaching piano my Junior year in college, and have since enjoyed getting to use my major.

I just recently got married to my husband, Nathan, who is an active duty Army officer stationed at JBER.

Aside from teaching and playing piano, I also enjoy running, sewing, and baking.  I am also an officer in the National Guard, and stationed at JBER.
