piano instruction
I'm classically trained and my approach to teaching would be considered "traditional" in the sense that I teach with an emphasis on reading sheet music, practicing technical exercises and understanding theory such as a scales, key signatures, chords, intervals, etc. I struggled to read music and know how to practice efficiently growing up. When that finally clicked for me, I was able to learn so much faster and get through more material which allowed me to be a stronger musician and the teacher that I am now.

about me
My name is Autumn Laemmrich, owner and instructor at Mountain Sound Piano Studio. I grew up on a small farm in Wisconsin and started playing the piano at the age of nine. I went on to study at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point where I received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. While in school, I started teaching piano lessons and working at the local piano store while in college. Upon graduating college, I moved to Alaska and quickly built a strong piano studio. If I'm not teaching or playing music, you can find me hiking, skiing, fishing, biking or camping!
